Twenga named E&Y 2010 Company of the Future

Next-generation search engine Twenga has been named 2010 Company of the Future by Ernst & Young and L’Entreprise.

The award is given to an innovative company that has the potential to grow quickly in the future.

Twenga allows the 40m shoppers who visit it each month to compare prices on specific items, by searching more than 280m products at more than 130,000 online stores.

It was founded four years ago by Bastien Duclaux, previously a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and strategy consultant, and entrepreneur Cédric Anès. Today it has sites in 15 countries including the United States, Brazil, Australia and China.

Bastien Duclaux, chief executive of Twenga, said: “I’m delighted to accept this award on behalf of our employees, investors, customers and partners. Twenga’s achievements have exceeded my hopes as an entrepreneur. I’m very confident in the future of ecommerce and our ability to seize the opportunities that it will present.”
