eBay is to start a new delivery service for small and medium sized eBay sellers that will make delivery of their sold items easier and much more competitive in a deal with Shutl.
Replacing the incumbent eBay [IRDX REBY] ‘Buy and print postage’ service with the Shutl platform will enable these businesses to easily choose from a range of competitively priced delivery options across popular UK couriers, print labels in just a few clicks, choose from thousands of convenient drop off-points across the UK, and pay for all deliveries via PayPal in a single consolidated invoice.
Shutl’s customer service team will also directly manage and resolve any delivery queries also.
Courier services available through the eBay’s Shutl platform will include the Hermes Economy service at a competitive rate and others will be added, as well as collection points, to the experience as it rolls out.
“Over the past six months we’ve worked hard with eBay to smoothly integrate this platform – with the focus on making delivery easier,” says Jason Tavaria, Head of Shutl. “Today’s shoppers are demanding and have high delivery expectations. To stay competitive, the small and medium sized sellers on eBay want better control over their deliveries and together we’re providing exactly that ability and more. It’s an exciting time for Shutl and eBay as we journey into the next phase together.”
Power users are being invited to join the beta launch this autumn and summer 2017 will see the full Shutl delivery service launch across eBay. Users can register for early access here.
