Upcoming Jumpstart Events
Launched in June 2009, the JumpStart events consist of short, sharp half day events taking an intense look at some key issues focusing upon identifying and presenting the key questions you should ask, rather than presuming to advance some generic, one-size-fits-all maxims. All solutions are individual, and they will help you get to the heart of the questions for you.
The 2012 Jumpstart dates and topics are:
June 13th – Customer Experience
In a multichannel, multidevice, multi-modal retail world, the customer has more touch points than ever while also expecting greater consistency and coherence across all areas of contact. In this Jumpstart we’ll consider how to provide an enhanced customer experience – not only optimising each channel of itself, but also considering how to bridge the experience over time and across channels.
Interaction design, service planning, testing and optimisation, customer service onsite and offline, delivery and logistics as the last touch in an order process and – of course – the in-store experience are topics for this event. We’ll also be looking at how best practice analytics and behavioural tracking can help us towards that elusive ‘single view of the customer’ in order to sell more effectively.

June 27th – Cross Channel
Even the term ‘cross-channel’ feels somehow out of date. Initially we concentrated on the digital revolution, then we turned our attention to the ‘other’ channels in parallel (multichannel) and finally recognising the customer’s use of all channels at once we tried ‘cross-channel’. However, the modern digital customer (from 15-75 years old) is a web-researching, mobile-checking, store-browsing, call-centre phoning, socially active trend aware animal. In this Jumpstart we’ll try to avoid being constrained by nomenclature and simply look at the customer, how she uses as many touch points and channels as we’re willing and able to offer and how we combine behavioural data with service values, technology, people and process to deliver for her.
We will cover the gamut from channel measurement and optimisation to silo-busting cross-channel capabilities, from behavioural analytics and modelling to data and in-store systems. If your remit covers more than the eCommerce channel alone this morning event will give you ideas, examples and case studies so that you can extend your selling activities beyond the web interface.
