Amazon has extended Amazon Prime Wardrobe, its try before you buy service, to all Prime members in the US.
The service was initially launched as an invite-only trial last year but the service has now been rolled out to anyone signed up to the Prime service. Customers using the service can select a minimum of three and maximum of eight items from clothes to shoes and accessories. When the items arrive they have seven days to decide what to keep and pay only for those. Their unwanted items are sent back in a resealable box and pre-paid label supplied by Amazon with the original purchase.
In the US try before you buy services such as Nordstrom’s Trunk Club and Stitch Fix are already proving popular. In the UK retailers are increasingly partnering with credit partners to provide a similar try before you buy offer for customers.
The move comes after Amazon initially launched the trial of Prime Wardrobe in June last year.
