January is the time of resolutions and one of mine is to spend less on everything – to exploit those bargains that are out there. Now, I can do it for my utility bills by signing up to Onedox, which helps consumers actually switch and pick up the billions in savings that go unclaimed. Here’s how. But how am I going to make savings on all those important fashion forward purchases I make?

Instead of checking everyday on items I like, a new app called Yellowbag will instead collect all of my favourite products and shops. When the price of one of my desired products drops, I get a notification.

every month more than 20% of all products get a price reduction. Discounts can run up to an astonishing 75%. In just the past few months, the products of 10.000 Yellowbag users combined have netted a total discount of £1,6 million (€2,2 million)!

Yellowbag was successfully introduced in the Netherlands in May 2015. Using the app’s unique search algorithm, 95% of all webshops worldwide can be price monitored. Founder Jasper van Elferen: “We want to help online shoppers worldwide to save on their favourite products. With Yellowbag we make sure they’ll never pay too much.”

Curious? Yellowbag is free to use as web version on Yellowbag.com and can be downloaded for both iOS and Android.
