It’s Black Friday and the busiest day of the online shopping year is just around the corner. Catch up on the numbers and the activity in our round-up, which will be keeping you abreast of the latest news throughout the run up to Christmas and beyond.
But it’s not all about Christmas in today’s Internet Retailing newsletter. We also report on Thomas Cook as it continues to rebalance its business towards online retailing, on Bathrooms.com as it expands overseas, first stop France. We also take a look at how delivery is changing in the light of ecommerce, picking up on both the Royal Mail’s half-year results and on IMRG figures that show one in five multichannel orders is now collected in store, and at best practices for multichannel retailers using social media, in the light of a new study. Today’s guest comment today comes from Deri Jones of SciVisium, who considers how retailers are taking ecommerce to the next level in the light of mobile devices. Read on to find out about jobs at Internet Retailing, our IRC 2013 presentation catch-up service, and about IRX 2014.
If you missed an Internet Retailing Conference 2013 presentation that you’d like to catch up on, you can do so now through the post-event website. Visitors to www.internetretailingconference.com can access all the presentations that we’ve been given permission to share with our audiences.
We have two positions that have opened up at Internet Retailing, a graduate researcher and a sales executive. Find out more by clicking on the links.
