Borderlinx, the ‘shopping and shipping’ service that has until now operated in the US only, now allows shoppers in 47 countries — representing 93% of the world’s online shoppers — to access and buy from UK online retailers.
The service gives overseas shoppers a UK shipping address, then allows them to shop, consolidate their purchases, make forwarding arrangements and have the goods sent on to their home address.
Borderlinx also allows customers to calculate customs duties and taxes, shipping fees and currency conversions, and benefit from simple returns agreements and full customer service support with participating retailers.
“Variety, price and easy access to brands synonymous with the UK, are just some of the benefits our members enjoy, ” says David Spottiswood, chief executive of Borderlinx. “By opening the UK alongside the US, as well as our innovative focus on social media and mobile applications, we are providing our members across the world with unprecedented choice, value and service. Borderlinx is revolutionising cross-border ecommerce by providing a great UK and US shopping search engine.”
