Over the past year, consumers have been forced to adjust to a host of pandemic related challenges and for many disturbed sleep patterns have become the norm. In 2020, the word “insomnia” was googled more than ever before, hitting an all-time high in April 2020, with the phenomenon becoming so ubiquitous as to give rise to the expert-coined terms ‘coronasomnia’ and ‘Covid-somnia’.

Sleep smart brand Sleep.8 is inviting consumers to give their sleep stress a rest by providing bespoke solutions to sleep-related challenges, facilitating the best sleep possible. The brand’s mission is to empower shoppers to focus on their own wellbeing and get their best 8 hours of sleep, every night. Sleep.8 provides bespoke tools to improve the sleep environment, enhance rest and soothe those current jagged sleep patterns.

From temperature-controlled pillows to bespoke beds, luscious bedding and dream-enhancing sleep aids, Sleep.8’s products allow customers to curate their ideal sleep environment. With a Sleep.8 in-house sleep consultant on hand to offer one to one consultations, consumers will be able to select a bespoke solution tailored precisely to their needs. Products are eco-friendly, hypoallergenic and plant based.

With a looming global mental health crisis, sleep is perhaps more important than ever before, especially as the pace of life begins to pick up with non-essential retail, hospitality, social gatherings and travel resuming. Resuming social interaction after almost a year of lockdown brings new anxieties for some which leaves Sleep.8 in prime position to support this next period in behaviour readjustment. With new retail stores launching in Kent and London, consumers can set themselves up to greet post-Covid life with a full 8 hours of sleep to fuel them.

Sleep.8’s in house sleep expert, Ana, says: “Sleep has an affect on many of our physiological systems, such as memory consolidation, control of inflammation, regulation of hormones, our cardiovascular system and many other important functions. Insufficient or irregular sleep and poor sleep quality can lead to health problems for some.”

Ana adds: “Reduced sleep duration has been shown to cause impairments in cognitive and executive function, while poor sleep quality has been associated with poor mental health and anxiety. At Sleep.8, we hope to help more and more people get regular, quality sleep every night, leading to a healthier physical outlook.”

Sleep.8 UK CEO, Musi Chayla, launched his first shop in Romford in 2020 with the goal of creating a conversation around the importance of prioritising and taking ownership of our sleep. He sees this next phase of expansion as key to showcasing just what Sleep.8 can deliver to improve a customer’s wellbeing.

Chayla explains: “Getting a good night’s sleep is critical to our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, regardless of what’s going on in our personal lives. Allowing our bodies and minds to rest and relax at the end of each day helps us to handle stress and negative emotions. Sleep.8 is all about creating the connection with the customer and helping them to find the sleep solution that is right for them.”

Sleep.8 is passionate about supporting consumers on this journey and its focus on customer service and one to one sleep consultations will ensure it delivers enhanced personal wellbeing through improved sleep. Throughout April, visitors to the Kings Road and Bluewater stores will receive an extra 10% discount on all purchases. Any purchases over £500 will include a free pillow.
