EDELIVERY CONFERENCE 2015: The preview
EDELIVERY CONFERENCE 2015: The preview
In recent weeks we've been previewing the speakers and conferences of the 10th annual Internet Retailing Conference (IRC 2015). Today we turn our attention to its sister event, eDelivery Conference.

Internet Retailing Conference is in its 10th anniversary year, but this year it has a new sister event. eDelivery Conference, takes place on October 13, the day before IRC2015at the Hammersmith Novotel in London.

The conference focuses on the retail logistics that support the huge growth of ecommerce and multichannel retailing in recent years. It opens with a twist on the keynote speech: a three-note, featuring three speakers from Shop Direct.

Deputy chief executive Gareth Jones, deputy CEO, group strategy and communications director Dan Rubel, and Jonathan Wall, ecommerce director will work together to tell the story of how Shop Direct has moved from its roots in mail order to become a leading ecommerce business. Together, they will look at the importance of working across silos to meet the needs of the most demanding multichannel customer.

The event includes three conference streams, alongside a schedule of free workshops and a exhibition featuring the latest technologies and leading industry suppliers.

Stream one, Growth, is all about expansion, both organic and through international markets. It looks at how logistics professionals are answering the internal pressures to have more products available to buy more quickly, while supplying more data at the same time.

Stream 2, Fashion and Apparel, focuses on learning from the leaders in the highly competitive and fast moving clothing category, exploring the challenges that drive their innovation.

Stream 3, The Non-Stop Sales Cycle, recognises that selling does not stop with the sale. This stream considers gaining and using data and information at all stages of the sales cycle, as well as the loyalty and retention opportunities across all touch points, and customer service in multichannel.

Confirmed speakers at the conference include Richard Jenkins, head of RFID strategic development at M&S, Calum Lewis, operations director at Lego, and Julian Callede, chief operating officer and co-founder of Made.com, Craig Wheeler, operations director at feelunique.com, Alex Watson, global transport manager at SuperGroup and John Mulliken, SVP strategic initiatives at Wayfair.

For more detail about speakers, exhibitors and workshops, visit the eDelivery Conference website where tickets are also available.
