HSS pushes the envelope with personalised online hire service

Tool and equipment hire specialists HSS Hire has launched LiveHire, an online hire management system that allows large customers to hire and 'offhire' in real time, control entire registers of assets by site or by account and to change any or all of the details at the touch of a button.

Users can also view and manage financial statements and KPI reports instantly, online and in real time, enabling customers to optimise hire periods, streamline transaction costs and drive out inefficiencies.

And, in an industry with complex pricing structures and inventory lists that can run into the thousands, HSS LiveHire also reflects any bespoke customer pricing and discounts agreed with each customer.

"The launch of LiveHire is a decisive differentiator between us and our competitors," says Chris Davies, CEO at HSS Hire. "It's a complete ecommerce system that uses the same look and feel as the websites we all buy from everyday and it's free and incredibly easy to use."

HSS LiveHire was developed by E-inbusiness and was built on eibCommerce, combining Microsoft Commerce Server with technologies such as Omniture web analytics & EPiServer advanced content management.

"E-inbusiness has been excellent and very thorough," says Steve Pape, IT director at HSS Hire. "They have delivered what we requested, whilst being very flexible to meet the changing requirements."
