London is the UK’s most eCommerce-addicted region, according to new research.
The survey of 2000 UK adults in October, conducted by Censuswide for payments company iZettle, found that 33 percent of people in the UK claim to be “addicted” to shopping online.
The number rose to 39 percent in Greater London, followed by 37 percent in the West Midlands.
Thirty two percent of Yorkshire residents claimed to be addicted, while the figure fell to 29 and 28 percent in the North West and North East respectively.
Across all respondents, 35 percent claimed they shopped too much through one-click purchases and repeat purchasing online with giant retailers. One in 12 respondents said they made online purchases every day.
In addition, 42 percent felt that they shopped too much online with large retailers, with 18 percent of respondents saying that they did so two or more times per week.
