"Ever wondered what Beyonce's favourite place to hang out is when she's enjoying some downtime in San Tropez? Where on earth Paris Hilton got THAT dress from? What DVDs Brad Pitt likes to watch when he's not on location? All these answers and more are now available in one place — TheNod.com
," explains the launch announcement for a new service headed by David Lethbridge, former CEO and co-founder of Confetti and Rob Hersov, former CEO and founder of both Marquis Jet Europe and Sportal:
TheNod.com is a revolutionary new website that tells you exactly what people, products and places your favourite celebrities have 'given the nod' to, and allows you, in one click, to purchase those products and services, letting you in on the A-lister's secrets, direct from your computer.
TheNod.com's 'people' channel is the place to choose which celebrities to follow on the site. It displays at the click of a button what they are giving the nod to and is updated in real time. Celebrity fans can keep up to date with new nods from celebrities and experts they are following via RSS and email alerts, as well as share products and services they've seen on the site via social networks such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
The 'places' channel shows users which hotels, restaurants, shops, bars and places that over 750 top celebrities (with more being added weekly) have given the 'nod' to. Making a reservation at that A-list cocktail bar is then only a click away.
Over in the 'products' channel, fashion, music, books, films, beauty products and much more is listed, letting you see exactly what products and services celebrities are into.
The site is continuously updated with new 'nods'. These come from celebrity profiles, interviews on the site and name checks that celebrities have given in the media, but also from top brands, stores, companies and those in the know, making TheNod.com the one stop destination to see exactly what top celebrities are giving the nod to.
"What we've created with TheNod.com is every celebrity fan's dream," says Rob Hersov, TheNod.com's chairman. "Never before has so much information on what items celebrities are giving the nod to, been available in one place, and made it so easy to buy into the celebrity life."
