Cyber weekend 2015: was it a good one for you?

This is an archived article - we have removed images and other assets but have left the text unchanged for your reference

In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, our focus is firmly on Cyber Weekend in a year that has seen online overtake stores in this first period of festive spending. We report how Black Friday, according to first estimates, broke online spending records to become the UK’s biggest ever day for online retailing, and we also bring you the latest updates in a Cyber Monday live blog that’s still being updated today. We were interested to see how retailers marked Cyber Monday itself on their home pages: here, in pictures, are our findings. How was your Cyber Weekend? – let us know in the comments below.

We also report on how Topps Tiles is putting digital to work both to inspire shoppers and to give them the convenience they desire, as it releases its full-year results, and on Dulux’s move into online interior design, a move that sees it innovate online and, it hopes, democratise access to interior design.

Today’s guest comment comes from Jeff Johnston of Tradedoubler, who considers how advertisers might rethink the way they target shoppers in different markets.
