Innovations that take away irritation on the high street are always welcome, and today we’re reporting on a new app from Barclaycard that looks set to take away the need to queue in order to pay. Instead, shoppers will be able to use a new app in order to scan and pay for goods.

In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, we also report on Mountain Warehouse after a year in which its online sales grew by 50%, and European retailer Oscar Jacobson as it invests in omnichannel systems to support plans for expansion.
