Ebuyer.com is adopting a new social commerce solution to support it as it expands.

The computing and electronics reseller, a leading independent retailer, has struck a partnership with social commerce platform provider Reevoo to use its range of social tools across an online catalogue of more than 50,000 products.

Ebuyer.com has switched from its own internal reviews system after finding it increasingly difficult to manage customer feedback across a wide range of products with high levels of transactions. That, it felt, would only intensify as the company expanded its range.

“In the coming year, Ebuyer.com has ambitious plans to scale in terms of product volume and new verticals,” said David Wood, commercial director at Ebuyer.com. “Our partnership with Reevoo will continue to support this scale by offering customer solutions and insight to improve the overall shopping experience.”

As well as being used online, the Reevoo platform also extends to Ebuyer’s call centre to support customer service, while the Ebuyer purchasing department use it to help choose the best products.

“As we scale, it is important to us that we maintain the high standard of service which our customers are accustomed to and expect from us,” said Wood. “By partnering with Reevoo, we are now able to provide verified reviews to our customers, to assist them in the buying process. Moreover, after switching to the Reevoo-branded solution from a previous internal system, we saw our conversion rate and average order value increase, a clear indicator of increased consumer trust.”

Steve Hurn, chief executive of Reevoo, said: “Ebuyer.com is known across the UK for offering customers some of the best selection and values online. With Reevoo, Ebuyer.com is able to increase trust with its customers not only by providing independent consumer reviews, but also empowering Q&A and open discussions.”
