rather than the challenges that others are experiencing in today's retail market. It's a timely reminder that there'll always be some potential new business to identify or opportunities to take market share simply by doing things better than the competition.
Meanwhile, eBay expects to see growth
in the number of businesses joining its marketplace this month as new and smaller businesses see the opportunities of trading via its platform. Domino's Pizza says its biggest day of 2017 came on X Factor Final day
, and represented a change in the way people behave around event TV. In other words, it saw an opportunity presented by changing customer behaviour, and made the most of that.
Amazon has spotted another opportunity to engage with its customers: it's long enabled charities to benefit by using affiliate links to its websites. Now it is making that link more explicit as it expands the AmazonSmile programme
, enabling customers to make their purchase directly while giving to charity at the same time.
