How UK retailers are moving towards a global, omnichannel future
How UK retailers are moving towards a global, omnichannel future
The twin focus of today's InternetRetailing newsletter is on joining up sales channels and international expansion. Today, we report on how more store sales will be influenced by the internet by 2018. We also look at how brands are moving towards omnichannel, both through research from SLI Systems that predicts many brands will have achieved omnichannel status within 18 months, and through the news of Lacoste opting for an order management solution on its own journey to that goal.

On the day that the dot London domain launches, we consider how the appetite for British and London goods is extending across the globe.

We also report on innovation from Norwich Football Club as it launches the first responsive website in the premiership.

Finally, we feature a podcast featuring Internet Retailing editors discussing their nomination choices for the upcoming Internet Retailing Awards. There's still time to vote.

Our awards

Nominations are now open for the 2014 Internet Retailing Awards. Last year the winners of these multichannel and ecommerce industry awards included Tesco, Burberry, Asos, Lakeland, eBay, Amazon, Oasis/Warehouse and LoveHoney, who celebrated their wins at a roof top party in the middle of the City. Who will take this year's titles? This year's awards will be announced at an exclusive event at One Mayfair on Thursday June 26. There's also plenty of time to snap up a discounted early bird ticket to the event – though be warned, the opportunity expires at midnight on May 5 (date extended).
