The rise and rise of multichannel shopping
A sea change in the way we shop is being detected by many in the run up to this Christmas. It's a theme for two of the stories in today's Internet Retailing
newsletter, where we report both on the steady build in online shopping ahead of Christmas, at a time when footfall is down on last year, and on a report by Ofcom that suggests ecommerce is more popular in the UK than any other major country.

Today we also report on retailers including Laura Ashley, Supergroup, HMV and Sports Direct. Our guest comment comes from Francois Ajenstat of Tableau Software, who considers how retailers can make the most of their Big Data.
