In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter we’re reflecting on two key dates of this year’s retail calendar. Traders are continuing to feel the effect of the Brexit result delivered on June 24, as shown in the latest results from the IMRG MetaPack Delivery Index, and we feature analysis of the multichannel strategic response to Brexit.

The second key date is November 25 – or Black Friday when, predicts the latest Adobe Digital Index, consumers will spend 10% more than they did last year, and mobile shopping will become ever more important. Today’s guest comment comes from Alex Painter of the NCC Group, who looks at how retailers can prepare their site for the biggest shopping day in the run up to Christmas.

Today we also report on multichannel strategies from leading IRUK Top500 retailers. Debenhams reports rising online sales thanks to investment in the seamless shopping experience, while John Lewis has identified four key shopping missions that its customers employ.
