Rakuten Marketing’s DealMaker London event took place on 3 April 2019 at The Brewery, bringing together over 600 people to discuss best practice for modern marketing.
Doug Ker, the CEO of Meli Melo, gave a keynote about the brand’s story and its partnership with Rakuten Marketing, and how this has helped the business achieve its overall objectives. The luxury handbag brand has enhanced its brand presence through marketing in a multi-channel way as it is changing its relationship with resellers.
There were also talks by publishing industry innovators Yieldify, Honey, Mapp Digital, Smarterclick, and The Groupon Reach Network.
In addition, the event featured experts from Rakuten Marketing itself, including senior marketing director EU Abi Jacks, VP of client success Nicholas Fletcher, MD EMEA Anthony Capano and GM mid-market Americas Julie Van Ullen.
The event was formerly called Symposium. Anthony Capano, MD of EMEA, said of the name change: “As an event which has been running for almost 20 years with networking at its heart, the name change reflects what our event is all about – bringing together our advertisers and publishers together to drive better business outcomes.”
