Getting ahead with multichannel? What Twitter, Amazon, Topps Tiles and Sainsbury’s are doing now

In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, new figures suggest that online shoppers in the UK and across Europe are now becoming more likely to buy online, and across borders.

It’s likely some of that increased willingness to buy is down to how leading, IRUK500, retailers are developing the multichannel services they offer their customers.

Today we report on Amazon, as it develops its grocery service – will the next step be a fully-fledged Amazon Fresh UK? And we have news of Sainsbury’s, as it reports online grocery sales growth, and the successful launch of its Tu website. We also report on Topps Tiles as it unveils strong growth thanks to a strategy of ‘out-specialising the specialist’, both online and in-store.

We bring you too the story of Twitter is now making it easier for US retailers to sell from their tweets, technology that no doubt will come to the UK in due course.
