Leading British premium handbag and accessories brand Radley has launched its first mobile app. Available on all Apple devices, the app unlocks new possibilities for Radley customers to shop and interact with the brand. It showcases the full product range, offers social sharing options and can be used in store.
The app, launched on the Poq Studio platform, allows customers to browse through the latest lookbooks, discover curated product sections, and check out ‘Word on the Street’ – a shoppable showcase of pieces that were featured in the media. The app can also be used to order items for in-store collection.
When shopping at a store, customers can also use the app to scan product barcodes. This unlocks extra information about a piece, such as different colours in which it is available. It also enables customers to order items that aren’t in stock in the current location, and have them delivered.
Radley launched the app at a time where its core consumers are increasingly using their mobile devices to shop. In the last quarter, 40% of UK e-commerce sales were generated on a mobile device. In general, an average of £474 is spent on mobile devices every second. The UK is currently the largest m-commerce market in Europe, with spending on mobile devices to increase by over 77% in the next year.
Rowan Luckie, Head of Ecommerce at Radley, says: “The app not only opens up new ways in which Radley can deliver a memorable service to our customers both in store and via mobile, but it also beautifully showcases all of our collections. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Poq Studio, and are looking into rolling out an app for our Android customers in the near future.”
