This is an archived article - we have removed images and other assets but have left the text unchanged for your reference

In today’s Internet Retailing newsletter, we report on the latest multichannel news from Elite IRUK retailers House of Fraser and Argos. While House of Fraser is using online and delivery to boost its ecommerce sales exponentially, Argos is now deep in Christmas preparations, taking on 1,000 of the 9,000 temporary workers it’s hiring in the run up to Christmas, to ensure that digital orders get to their senders on time.

Today we also have news of AO World, as it forecasts strong sales growth, of French Connection as it reports falling sales, but a growing proportion that take place online, and on Ideal Shopping Direct as it changes hands.

We also take a look at the latest research into consumer behaviour, with interesting findings from Savvy and Bronto about the way that people want to buy online. Finally, today’s guest comment comes from Kevin Sparks of FACT-Finder, on ways to ensure that new parents and well-wishers can find what they need quickly in the children’s department.
