LN-CC launches online store

Upcoming new London retailer Late Night Chameleon Café has launched its ecommerce site.

The retailer is led by John Skelton, previously of men’s retailer oki-ni and Harrods. Far from a run-of-the-mill retailer, it has been described as an “evolving platform of curated ideas encompassing clothing, music and art in both a physical and digital environment.”

The company has chosen a Venda platform for the site, which has been developed and launched within two months.

David Hobson, head of ecommerce for LN-CC and previously in the same role at oki-ni, said: “As a new brand we want to grow aggressively and fast,” adding that the Venda platform had allowed it to “create a strong brand and a good interactive customer experience".

The site, which sells new and used vinyl records and books alongside men’s and women’s clothing inspired by Japanese streetwear, features editorial including reviews and interviews with a range of designers whose clothes it stocks both online and in its London store.

Social media network links are built into the site, as is the ability to pay in a range of currencies. Customer service information is also available in Japanese.

Eric Abensur, group chief executive at Venda, said: “We are delighted that the LN-CC team was able to launch its multi-lingual, multi-currency proposition on Venda in less than two months using our technology and we look forward to working with them in the future, in the ecommerce channel as well as in the other channels they plan to launch.”
