Net-a-Porter plans new website launches: reports

Online fashion etailer Net-a-Porter is planning to launch three new websites, according to reports. The upmarket site is said to be considering selling upmarket childrenswear, homewares and beauty products.

According to The Independent, plans for the three sites are still at the early stages and are part of a growth strategy for its owner, luxury goods company Richemont which bought the business in April 2010.

Net-a-Porter was founded by former fashion journalist Natalie Massenet in 2000 to sell leading women’s fashion brands. The new sites would join a stable that already includes outlet site TheOutNet.com and .

When Internet Retailing contacted Net-a-Porter today a spokesman said it was unable to provide any more details on the story.
