Amazon is looking to improve its Spanish offering with a new service that allows customers to get products on finance and a new distribution centre.
The new service called “pay in 4” will allow Prime customers to spread a purchase out into four instalments over three months, with the first due immediately upon making the payment.
It is available for purchases of over €75 and up to €1000. The option is available at checkout.
The marketplace has also expanded its logistics network in the country, launching its first logistics station in Trapagaran, Bizkaia.
The new station will serve the Bilbao area, with more than 50 workers at the logistics centre. The company will collaborate with local drivers.
This is Amazon’s fifth logistics centre in Spain, following the launch of a centre in San Fernando de Henares in Madrid in 2012.
John Tagawa, VP of Amazon Logistics Europe, said: “We are very excited about the opening of this logistics station in Trapagaran, where more than 20 years of operating experience, technological advances and the company’s investment add capacity and flexibility to our distribution network, allowing faster delivery than ever before. for customers.
