Izabel London is extending both its website and mobile site to international customers for the first time.
The fashion brand has taken the move in the light of the fast growth of consumer use of mobile devices for shopping, as well as in the number of retailers selling abroad. It has chosen the Venda platform for the expansion.
Kevin Jamali, director at Izabel London, said: “To fully integrate mobile and extend our fashion to consumers outside the UK, we were looking for the right partner that didn’t require us to develop a large internal IT team to create and maintain a bespoke platform.
“Venda’s knowledge of the industry, expertise in the fashion sector and SaaS platform meant it was easy to transition from a national site to a global one, as well as add mobile functionality.
“This will allow us to stay ahead of the competition in a fast-moving industry while offering our customers a smoother and more integrated platform, with the ability to make a purchase whenever and wherever they may be. With our new platform, consumers will be able to buy the latest fashions on their laptop or mobile device, whether they are in the UK or abroad.”
Eric Abensur, chief executive at Venda, said: “It’s always great to see our platform being used to support new strategies for a retail business. In expanding its mobile and international offering, Izabel London has identified a real growth opportunity in a competitive marketplace.
“In this day and age, online retailers need to continue to innovate and grow and in seeking to optimise and extend its ecommerce offering, Izabel London is putting itself in the position to succeed. Retailers that don’t evolve and embrace the ecommerce revolution could find themselves struggling to compete in an ever-competitive market.”
