Disability equality charity Scope launches standalone online shop 

Scope: using art to create an online store experience

The charity sector was hit particularly hard by lockdown, with all its stores shut. Now disability equality charity shop Scope is making the move online with the opening of an online store and a capsule collection of premium products designed by disabled artists.

The result is a stunning, colourful and accessible online shop, offering three ranges of print-on-demand designs and a range of ready-to-purchase items.    

      

First up is the Artist’s Collection, which sees the charity collaborate with five disabled artists who have either created a unique work of art or have provided existing designs and new artwork.

The range is also augmented with Scope Products, which saw Scope collaborate with designer Laura Bennet to create a series of unique, graphic designs to be used on a range of products, inspired by the charity’s accessible brand. Scope products also include the Make a Statement range. Inspired by Scope’s renowned campaigning work, customers can choose from a range of products featuring empowering statements.  

  

Gifts – which also  includes Scope’s Arthouse Unlimited curated collection – is the  online shop will offer a range of premium products from this highly successful brand, created by disabled people. The products include ceramic dog bowls, china mugs, especially for the dog lover, candles, bathing, beauty products, pin badges and fabulous chocolates.   

  

Vivian Nutt, Head of Customer Proposition, Retail at disability equality charity Scope, says:  “We’ve really had to be more creative and ingenious in our fundraising since the start of the pandemic and this is an incredibly exciting development for Scope. Launching our new online shop not only gives us an opportunity to target our key supporter base and offer them a range of quality products, it also allows us to reach a wider audience and generate essential funds. ”
