DeliveryX

Online furniture and homeware retailer Made.com has awarded a three-year contract for a range of fulfilment services to iForce, the efulfilment division of Eddie Stobart.
The company will provide Made.com with an online fulfilment and warehouse management service using its unique SMART software capability, based at the 226,000 square feet iForce warehouse in Redditch.

The retailer will also deploy carrier management software Route Genie, which is provided through the iForce Pathfinder service, to enable Made.com to manage the allocation of parcels to the most appropriate carriers based upon weight, service requirement and cost. It will also allow the Made.com customer service team the ability to have a consolidated view of carrier performance enabling delivery exceptions to be managed proactively.

Simon Rigby, operations director at Made.com, said the appointment followed outstanding growth for the retailer in recent years. “iForce’s capability to adapt its world-class solutions to fit the exact requirements of our business was a key reason behind our decision,” he said.

Brian Gaunt, CEO at iForce, said: “We are delighted to welcome Made.com to our prestigious list of retail clients. The company has grown rapidly and expects this growth rate to continue both here in the UK and in Europe.”
