Morrisons adopted MetaPack technology with the aim of offering customers flexible delivery ahead of its pre-Christmas launch of Morrisons Cellar. Now the technology looks set to underpin Morrisons’ future online operations.
Morrisons’ first own-label online venture, Morrisons Cellar has used MetaPack to match orders with best delivery options and carrier providers since launch.
Paul Sanderson, head of GM online content and operations at Morrisons, said: “As we delivered the Morrisons Cellar in such an agile and fast manner, it was key that the implementation went smoothly. We found MetaPack simple, as well as effective in practice.”
MetaPack says its solution can now support Morrisons’ online business as it grows. “MetaPack’s solution is scalable to help them serve their growing customer base, as well as help facilitate the broadening of their online offering, which is planned throughout 2013-14,” it said.
