Mobile based loyalty system launches in the UK as mobile’s true potential in retail starts to be realised

LoyalTXT, a mobile phone based customer loyalty system for retailers, restaurants, salons and spas, has launched in the UK, and is offering clients substantial growth in profile by connecting their new or existing loyalty scheme with social media.



Loyalty schemes have seen phenomenal growth over the past decade, however the majority still rely on customers possessing and using a plastic card.

 LoyalTXT, which has been in use in the USA for several years, uses a mobile phone number in place of a card and allows the client to run short term targeted promotions using text, email and voice messages; to build a fully populated customer database, and critically, to link their loyalty programme to social media to increase exposure and gain new members at no cost.



In an environment where over 90% of text messages are opened within 15 minutes, mobile marketing becomes an intensely powerful tool.
