InternetRetailing Events has unveiled dates for its next Summit gatherings for leading European retailers, following on from this year’s events.

The 2018 B2C Summit will be held between July 2 and 4 in Berlin, while two events are scheduled for the B2B market. The first will be on November 22 in the UK, and the second on January 25 in Berlin.

The Summits are part of the InternetRetailing portfolio of events, which also includes the award-winning InternetRetailing Expo and eDelivery Expo, the InternetRetailing and the eDelivery Conferences, Private Dinners and the InternetRetailing media.

The news comes soon after the second annual InternetRetailing Summit was held in Berlin. Leaders from across the IRUK and IREU Top500 index of leading retailers gathered between July 3 and 5 to share their experiences, challenges and solutions with peers from across the continent.

The format of the Summit, which moves away from traditional conference model, is held under the Chatham House Rule to create constant peer-to-peer interaction, resulting in the exchange of knowledge and practical retail intelligence.

“The great thing about the retailers and colleagues here is actually they are prepared to say what works and what doesn’t, so you can get some great examples and feedback to take back,” said John Cooper, head of commercial transformation at Argos .

Ian Jindal, editor-in-chief at InternetRetailing, said it was interesting to hear retailers using the freedom offered by the forum to discuss the issues that affected them the most, and benefiting from the experience of others at the event, both in the organised forums and through networking at the event.

Delegates were the first to see the new IREU Top500 2017. The publication will be published more widely later in the summer.

Headline sponsor for the InternetRetailing Summit was CyberSource, other sponsors included B2C Europe, Apptus, SimilarWeb, FedEx CrossBorder, Corndel, Monetate, eCommera, Zendesk, FirstData, Valtech and Worldpay.

Attendance to the Summits is by invitation only, in order to ensure that interaction is shared amongst a similar level of influential participants.
