Fast fashion retailer Zalando has opened a new fulfilment centre in Italy, set up to serve southern European markets.
The 130,000 square metre site in Nogarole Rocca, near Verona, will offer quicker deliveries in Italy, southern France, Spain, Austria and Switzerland.
Fiege, which will manage the site, has begun recruiting for the likes of drivers, project managers and IT specialists, with the goal of filling 1000 jobs.
The company began construction on the centre in June 2018. The site brings Zalando’s total to 15 operational fulfilment centres in five countries, with three more currently in construction.
