Fashion value retailer Peacocks has chosen GSI Commerce to supply it with a comprehensive ecommerce solution including web technology, web store design, fulfilment, order processing, and call centre services.
GSI Commerce has provided Peacocks with fulfilment and customer service solutions since September 2007 and the retailer has now decided to expand their partnership in a bid to aggressively grow its online channel. Under the eight-year agreement, GSI will now provide a full service ecommerce solution, set for launch in early 2010.
“It’s safe to say that our existing web store has been very successful but, in order to take our offering to the next level, we recognised that we needed a partner with the expertise, resources, enterprise technology and operational capability to run a major online flagship store,” says Tim Bettley, managing director of Peacocks. “We considered other providers, however, GSI was the obvious fit for us. GSI’s ‘percent of sales’ business model immediately improved our profitability while avoiding costly capital expenses.”
