Collect Plus, the convenience store-based delivery service, now processes four million packages a year, the company said today. It says it has doubled the number of parcels it carries thanks to “vastly increased demand” from businesses including ASOS and Littlewoods – and now plans to develop its ‘Click and Collect Plus’ service during the course of the coming year.
The courier service also says it has signed up more than 4,000 stores as local collection and delivery points for parcels, growing its operations by 20% over the second half of the year to the point where it is a third of the size of the Post Office network.
Its returns service – which retailers use to allow customers to drop off returns at CollectPlus stores - has seen strong growth, and the company now plans to focus on its Click and CollectPlus service, which allows shoppers buy online for delivery at their local Collect Plus-partnered convenience store.

We are delighted to have more than 100 retail brands taking advantage of our returns service and as we move into 2012 our next area of focus will be to further develop our Click & CollectPlus service.
“Recent research shows that two-thirds of online shoppers are attracted to this concept and we expect it to be a key area of growth for us as it convenues to revolutionise how we all shop online.”
