Shoppers continue their digital transition towards online shopping

This is an archived article - we have removed images and other assets but have left the text unchanged for your reference

In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, we report as online sales continue their inexorable rise and a greater share of shopping now takes place online. We cover Asos as it today unveils a 25% rise in UK sales and profits that continue to grow despite a loss-making, and soon to be discontinued, venture into China. ScS is also a beneficiary of growing online sales, following investment into its website. We also take a look at the latest BRC figures, which seem to confirm that shoppers are continuing to move their spending away from stores and towards online.

Today we also have news of BuyItDirect as it launches a new specialist drone website. Today’s IRX 2016 preview comes in the form of an interview with David Williams of Deckers Brands, while our guest comment is from Roy Horgan of Market Hub Technologies, who considers how technology could help retailers move away from discounting.
