We’re moving faster to an omnichannel world with the news today that 40% of online sales now take place over mobile devices. The milestone figure, from the IMRG, comes alongside research from Conlumino and Webloyalty that suggests consumers now prefer to buy through ecommerce than through a store.

It’s a move that is reflected in our news from retailers. We report on how Sainsbury’s is taking digital pricing into its stores and how Fat Face has adopted a responsive ecommerce platform in the light of growing numbers of visits from mobile devices.

Today’s IRX 2015 preview also considers the multichannel experience, with a look ahead at the Multichannel merchandising and selling conference. We also have an extra guest comment today, from Don Bush of Kount, who takes a timely look at chargebacks, how to reduce them and when their levels should spark concern.
