A new ‘shoppable media platform’ Dropp is kicking off its beta roll out with an exclusive partnership with fashion brand Coogi, to create and debut a limited edition run of apparel on the Dropp platform.

Dropp claims to make content totally and simply shoppable, putting an end to tedious text and image searches or scrolling through online catalogues. With a touch – or click – DroppTV‘s proprietary technology seamlessly allows content to be shoppable. It is attempting to bring together art and e-commerce, creating a new mode of digital interaction, which allows creators to monetize their videos through the patented See it. Want it. Get it.advanced AI video technology.

For retailers and brands, Dropp provides a platform that re-connects them directly and instantly with their consumers. Moreover, its ease of use increases retailer and brand traffic driving direct-to consumer engagement and consumption.

For Content Providers, Dropp offers a new way for enabling product placement, sponsorship, advertising deals, partnerships and cross-promotions. This increases the real time interaction content providers have with their consumers.

Coogi’s limited run merch will drop in the first piece of smart video content to be released on the Dropp platform, which launches in the summer of 2019 as a web and a limited download smart device app available on Android and iOS.

Coogi’s Creative Director, Willie Escobar explains: ,“As a creative veteran in the fashion industry, it’s rare that you have a “once in a lifetime” moment to evolve the culture and fashion through tech. As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, and embrace the fact that we were the first inclusive luxury brand to embrace streetwear. History will repeat itself as we will be the first to embrace change and evolve fashion via Dropp in 2019.”

The position of Dropp as a brand makes this collaboration with Coogi all the more important. Coogi is synonymous with the type of talent and brands Dropp is attracting. Music stars past and present have worked with Coogi. Iconic moments like Biggie Smalls wearing the sweaters in his music videos, Nipsey Hustle modelling the recent Puma x Coogi collaboration to MMA superstar Conner McGregor donning the iconic Coogi sweater at a press conference. These iconic moments have stamped the fashion brand in pop culture history and that is exactly where Dropp intends to cement itself.

“Coogi has influenced a generation of fly guys in pop culture. For Dropp to have its exclusive merch designed in collaboration with Coogi is a huge honor us,” says Dropp’s founder and Chief Innovation Officer, Gurps Rai. “This collaboration is the ideal embodiment of  Dropp’s mission statement – to fuel the success of future generations of independent talent.”
