The White Company replatforms as it expands internationally

The White Company is replatforming in order to support plans for international expansion.

The retailer, a Top250 trader in IRUK Top500 research, has chosen the Retail Cloud Team's Digital Commerce Channel to host its ecommerce business. The Retail Cloud Team will also migrate and manage the business online. Its Digital Commerce Channel is an optimised Amazon Web Services (AWS) solution for SAP Hybrid customers. It was chosen as The White Company looked to boost site performance, uptime and resilience ahead of plans for international expansion across all channels. The retailer has recently opened a flagship store on New York's Fifth Avenue.

The Retail Cloud Team as worked as a technical advisor to The White Company for many years, and the new platform will enable the retailer to move from legacy infrastructure to a more scalable solution.

Dom McBrien, multichannel director at The White Company, said: “Modern retail is an innately competitive business. Converting potential customers to purchase is one of its key challenges. This is why it’s so crucial to invest in an effective e-commerce platform: customer experience and subsequent revenue depend on it. We wanted to make sure nothing about the purchasing experience could put off prospective customers."
