Vente-Privée , the private members sales website, will move a step further into the music business next week with the exclusive launch of a French artist’s debut album through its site.

French DJ and singer Jean-Roch has chosen Vente-Privée to launch his album, offering the first copies of Music Saved my Life to its 15m members for £5 a copy, because he believes it will open up his music to a large new audience.

“This project is one of the most important milestones of my life,” said Jean-Roch. “I chose vente-privee.com first and foremost with the idea that my music could be discovered by a large number of people.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to be able to share my music with its members and welcome them into my world from the comfort of their own homes. vente-privee.com has given me this opportunity.

“More importantly, I believe it to be the most innovative media channel for promoting my project.”

The title, to be released on March 5, features collaborations with artists including Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and Pitbutt & Nayer.

Vente-Privée has previously sold albums for artists including Patricia Kaas, CharlElie Couture and Alain Chamfort, and has sold tickets for a Florent Pagny tour, but this is the first time it has hosted an exclusive record launch.
