Mobile may be the new battleground for delivery, if talks by DPD and Hermes at TDC 2019 were anything to go by. Both offered their new smartphone apps to retailers as a way of improving the delivery experience. But in an exclusive eDelivery interview, MetaPack CEO Patrick Wall warned that couriers need to ensure that retailers still own the customer relationship.
There were a couple of high profile deals as PostNL agreed to buy out a big competitor and speculation about M&S and Ocado came to a head as the companies announced a new joint venture. The news saw Ocado’s share price leap after a difficult month.
