UPS launches ecommerce plug-ins for Magento, WooCommerce

UPS has created a range of plug-ins allowing users of ecommerce platforms to add its services to their sites.
The new plug-ins will be available for users of WooCommerce, PrestaShop, OpenCart and Magento who have UPS accounts.

Amongst the capabilities are label printing within the ecommerce platforms, full control over the shipping rates displayed to shoppers and presentation of accurate delivery times during checkout. Another plug-in offers access to real-time tracking information.

Kevin Warren, UPS chief marketing officer, said: “As the retail industry rapidly transforms, UPS continues to find new ways to make its industry-leading services more accessible.

“With UPS’s Digital Access Program, we’re leveling the ecommerce playing field for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) worldwide, allowing them to offer many of the same services offered by the world’s largest brands.”

UPS recently announced the UPS Digital Access Program, which sees it working with ecommerce solution providers. It is working with Stamps.com to offer discounted shipping rates to the latter’s 740,000 ecommerce customers.
