Waitrose has launched one, six and 12-month subscription Waitrose Delivery Passes that will offer online grocery account customers savings of up to £123 a year on their deliveries. Customers will be able to book up to one available grocery delivery slot a day at no extra charge when they invest in a subscription pass.

A one-month pass costs £8, a six-month pass £45, and an annual pass £85. Individual delivery slots booked without a pass cost between £2 and £4 depending on the type of slot. The pass also gives early access to sought after Waitrose Christmas delivery slots which go live in September.

To use their delivery pass to book a Waitrose groceries delivery customers need to spend the minimum basket value of £40, a limit which applies to all its online grocery orders.

The launch of the service follows the success of a trial earlier this year in the Worcester area which ran for a number of weeks. Laura Burbedge, director of Waitrose Online, said: “We’re investing in our online business to continuously improve it, giving our customers even greater value and the best possible experience. Thousands of customers signed up for delivery passes through our trial, so we expect to see strong demand across the UK.”
