Budweiser Brewing Group UK & I owner AB InBev is rolling out its B2B ecommerce platform in the UK, promising its retailer customers a new level of flexibility and customer insights.

It says users can now benefit from a seamless order experience and communication through the new BEES order and delivery platform. The move is part of Budweiser Brewing Group’s rollout of a digital experience for the retailers who buy from it. Business owners can use it to browse for products, place orders, earn rewards, arrange deliveries, manage invoices and see business insights. Machine-learning driven algorithms offer personalised order recommendations to users.

Brian Perkins, president, Western Europe and chief executive of the Budweiser Brewing Group, says: “Technology is at the heart of AB InBev’s growth strategy, and bringing BEES to the UK is an exciting step in our company’s digital transformation. As a member of the founding team of BEES, I watched the platform grow from day one. By harnessing the power of data and technology, we’re building shared prosperity for our business partners and our communities. Already in the top 10 e-commerce marketplaces globally, BEES has the potential to improve productivity for all businesses in our ecosystem.”B2

The BEES platform was first piloted in the Dominican Republic in 2020 and is now used across more than 17 countries. The UK is the first country to launch it in Europe, and is at first being rolled out to a number of on-trade venues and off-trade retailers so that the company can test and learn before a wider expansion.
