Pre-loved gaming retailer CeX will enable customers to order second-hand games, consoles, controllers and DVDs for delivery in less than 30-minutes, as it partners with Just Eat.

The new collaboration enables gamers to order replacements fast, with best-selling items from CeX sold via JustEat including lightning and HDMI cables, PS5 controllers, and copies of Grand Theft Auto 5. The pre-loved copies of such games are typically cheaper than even digital downloads.

David Butler, commercial manager of CeX, said: “We’re delighted to expand the reach of CeX to millions of Just Eat customers, making it even faster for them to get the tech treats on demand.”

Almost 400 CeX stores across the UK will take part in the Just Eat delivery service. While, Just Eat reports its UK coverage has reached 97% of the country, with around 18 million UK customers.

“This partnership is a real game changer. Bringing tech and gaming to those that need it right now from all stores nationwide. A dream team collaboration and shout out to everyone that has supported to make it happen,” added Monica Brennan, strategic partnerships manager – grocery and retail at Just Eat.

Co-op, Iceland and Sainsbury’s are amongst the food retailers who currently work with Just Eat in the UK to facilitate on-demand or rapid grocery delivery.

It was reported in February, that Dutch technology investor Prosus is set to acquire Just Eat, with the aim of creating the fourth largest food delivery group in the world.
