There’s a liberal sprinkling of Christmas in today’s Internet Retailing newsletter. We make no apology. This is, after all, the most important period of most retailers’ year, and especially in these straightened times. It’s a season that starts now – or at least tomorrow – according to findings from an SDL study that we report on today. Today we also have predictions of how much consumers will spend this Christmas, when they’ll be spending it, and what their buying habits are likely to be. It might be a bit glittery but it’s also vital stuff to make the most of this season. Read on for more of the Christmas spirit, as well as to find out how online spending fared in October, why supermarkets need to pay more attention to generation X and Y. We also have news of jobs at Internet Retailing.
If you missed a presentation that you’d like to catch up on at Internet Retailing Conference 2013, you can do so now through the post-event website. Visitors to www.internetretailingconference.com can access all the presentations that we’ve been given permission to share with our audiences.
We have two positions that have opened up at InternetRetailing, a graduate researcher and a sales executive. Find out more at the links below.
