DHL takes on ten-year lease in East Midlands

DHL has taken on a new facility in England’s East Midlands area, joining Games Workshop and Amazon on the park.
The logistics giant has taken a ten-year lease on a further 192,000 square feet of space at SEGRO’s facility near the cities of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. This adds to the 694,000 square feet it has already signed for at the site during early summer 2020.

The units have not yet been completed but will be built to the Excellent level of the BREEAM sustainability standard.

Andrew Pilsworth, SEGRO’s business unit director, National Logistics, said: “The latest addition with DHL at SLP-EMG continues to highlight the demand for modern, sustainable space that is supremely well located.

“We have now contracted over half the available space, securing inward investment and creating jobs across the region. There’s a vibrant atmosphere on site and it’s good to see the high levels of activity of our customers during these uncertain times.”
