The first-ever eDelivery Conference (EDC2015) takes place on 13 October at the Hammersmith Novotel in London, the day before our partner conference IRC2015.
EDC2015 will focus on the retail logistics underpinning the growth of ecommerce and multichannel retailing in recent years. It opens with a keynote delivered from three speakers from Shop Direct.
Deputy chief executive Gareth Jones, deputy CEO, group strategy and communications director Dan Rubel, and Jonathan Wall, ecommerce director will work together to tell the story of how Shop Direct has moved from its roots in mail order to become a leading ecommerce business. Together, they will look at the importance of working across silos to meet the needs of the most demanding multichannel customer.
The event includes three conference streams, alongside a schedule of free workshops and a exhibition featuring the latest technologies and leading industry suppliers.
Stream one: Growth, is all about expansion, both organic and through international markets. It looks at how logistics professionals are answering the internal pressures to have more products available to buy more quickly, while supplying more data at the same time.
Stream 2: Fashion and Apparel, focuses on learning from the leaders in the highly competitive and fast moving clothing category, exploring the challenges that drive their innovation.
Stream 3: The Non-Stop Sales Cycle, recognises that selling does not stop with the sale. This stream considers gaining and using data and information at all stages of the sales cycle, as well as the loyalty and retention opportunities across all touch points, and customer service in multichannel.
