FedEx adds 2300 click and collect points across the UK

DeliveryX

FedEx is offering the Collect+ click and collect option across the UK.
Users of the delivery giant will now be able to have their goods delivered to 2300 Collect+ stores across the country. The locations also support dropping off returns.

CollectPlus is jointly owned by retail payment network PayPoint and delivery company Yodel. 77% of urban residents live within one mile of Collect^ locations, while 80% of rural residents live within five miles.

The partnership will complement FedEx’s existing click and collect option, FedEx ShipCentres, of which there are around 200 across the UK.

Jon Stockton, VP of ground operations UK for FedEx Express, said: “Collect+ is the perfect retailer to help us meet the growing need for a convenient, secure pickup option in a variety of UK locations.

“We understand customers may not always want packages delivered to their home or office, but they do want secure, alternate delivery options, and we’re on a mission to make that happen. We are proud to work with Collect+ to make our customers’ lives easier. Collect+ also offers environmental benefits through increased fuel efficiencies for our ground fleet from smarter routes.”

Nick Wiles, executive chairman of PayPoint said: “We’re delighted to be working with FedEx Express and the feedback from retailers and customers since launch has been excellent.

“This forms part of our partnership announcement earlier this year and is another example of our drive to become the UK’s foremost provider of click and collect services.”
