Homebase suspends home delivery service

DeliveryX

Homebase has temporarily suspended its home delivery service as part of a replatforming of its ecommerce business.
The company said the suspension of delivery services, for which the company hasn’t revealed a timescale, has come about both because of the website replatforming but also because the company will be changing how it delivers its product ranges to customers.

“This is temporary and part of the website re-platform, to make it easier for customers to browse our great ranges, advice and ideas,” said a spokeswoman for the retailer. “During this time you will still be able to browse the site and check stock availability in our stores.”

Homebase was bought by Bunnings, owned by Australian conglomerate Wesfarmers, last year. Homebase was previously part of Home Retail Group. Homebase stores are currently being converted to the Bunnings warehouse format.
